Establish:
Green Chemistry summer faculty training
Paid fellowships (public/private) in Green Chemistry and Engineering
New curriculum requirements for science and engineering disciplines (specifically including toxicology, human and ecological consquences, etc.)
Create a "virtual" or "bricks and mortar" center/facility for research and development and for technology transfer (same or separate centers?)
State legislature and governor propose - or by popular initiatives - new state bond to provide funding for research, development, and technology transfer for Green Chemistry and Engineering
Or, alternative non-General Fund financing scheme?
State Technical Assistance Center could:
Help industry conduct life-cycle or sustainability analyses
Help Industry adopt safer alternatives
Help consumers understand chemical information and make informed choices
